If you want to become a powerlifting woman, you’ll just need to rethink the way that you’re lifting weights to get into competitions or just into the shape that these fine women are able to craft their bodies into.
How Can You Become A Powerlifting Woman?
While there is the tendency to disregard the fact that women do have some limitations, there are a few things that you will want to keep in mind in order to create a powerlifting woman workout that will not harm you.
To start, you will want to determine the most weight that you can lift during each of the basic power lifting exercises – squat, bench press, and dead lift. In order to figure this out, you will want to go to a gym or other workout facility and have someone help you perform the basic exercises. This person will also make sure that you’re not hurting yourself in the process.
When you have the weights that you can lift, you can start to create a powerlifting woman program that will increase these numbers. You don’t want to lift that maximum weight at every workout because this can cause injury and lead to a short career as a power lifter.
You want to look at each workout as a percentage of the overall weight that you can lift and in doing so, you will eventually increase the maximum weight that you can lift and then continue to increase your weights.
Why Women Might Be Better
What’s interesting to note is that women are structurally better power lifters. While the smaller body of a powerlifting woman might seem weaker, the lower center of gravity and balance make their bodies perfect for squats and dead lifts. Women have a better sense of body placement and can learn these exercises much more efficiently than some men can.
A powerlifting woman is part of the next generation of strong and powerful athletes that are proving anything is possible if you work hard enough and want something bad enough.
